Or you could leave it in situ

Or you could leave it in situ and watch the wasps instead... :)

I would like to leave it but

I would like to leave it but my partner has bad reactions to their stings. I'm hoping to get an ID first so I have an idea of the nest size and wasp numbers before deciding. Unfortunately the box is in the middle of our garden.

I hope you have been able to

I hope you have been able to leave it - it would be fascinating to watch them build! Wasps built a nest in one of my bird boxes, just above the back door, last year (sadly, one without a camera!) - they were no problem at all and didn't attempt to sting any of us. They are so interesting to watch, and we were able to open the box and look at the nest after the winter. They really are wonderful architects!
