Stag Beetle

The legs, head capsule shape and overall abdomen shape, together with it was found in rotting wood indicates stag beetle I think - note rarity status?

Stag beetle

The size of it made me think Stag Beetle larva rather than cockchafer larva as it was about 60-70mm long and 15-20mm wide. I have never seen a larva that big.
