Description:

Of course, the habitat should be freshwater AND saltwater, but you can't choose that, can you?
These two mussel shells were empty when picked up. The Freshwater one (left) comes from a flooded gravel pit, the Saltwater example from a Norfolk beach. Clearly both mussels, but when they're side by side, the differences are obvious.
