This is an Ornithogalum but, being foreign, could be non-British.
It is probably not possible to identify from photographs and the plant would be needed. The above is just a suggestion.
I'm going to go with the suggestion of Ornithogalum atticum for now due to visual similarity as well as the fact it is described as being ubiquitous here in the Attica region of Greece (hence the name). As with the other species I've seen here, I'll try to find a local botanist who would be willing to walk the hill with me and check my identifications, but it will have to wait for next year now.
