Change it to

I would have put it on as Sarcoscypha species as microscopic examination is needed to tell them apart.

Microscopic was carried out and according toVolume 9 of the Mycologist Volume 9 Feb1965 page 22 (G.B. Butterfill & Brian Spooner) Thats what it is.

If you had mentioned in the description that it had been under the scope then there would have been no problem with others agreeing with your id. Unfortunately most people who have posted here in the past have no access to a microscope but still put S austriaca (or S coccinea depending on which book they have). This is the reason behind Fenwickfield's reasonable suggestion.
