Unidentified yellow castle headland flower

Habitat was a tricky choice. The plant was found growing from in-between a stone wall and the rock behind. This was on the castle headland in Scarborough, so very near the sea. I suspect that it might not be a native plant, possibly a garden escape? But I really don't know.
