holothuria usually shows some signs of tube feet - did you manage to turn over to see these? suckerless tube feet on upper surface - can't make these out either. Feathery tube feet around mouth area not apparent but aren't always. So I'm not sure from this pic.
It was spotted in southern Kenya
....might need to think again not UK and as I said on the 5th - can't see the tell tale signs of Holothuria.

But many of the common tropical holuthurians that are of this size and this colour belong to the genus. Thats why I gave it the confidence rating I did.
For example in our studies in Thailand, also Indo-Pacific, we regularly find the black species H.leucospilota and H.atra as well as the slightly paler H impatiens.
