Small Tortoiseshell

They were so common back in my youth. But they seemed to start their decline when the council started mowing all the local nettles at the wrong time of the year.

We get them

They leave the nettles alone at the crags and there are plenty to be seen and peacocks too. Also Mute Swans use nettle canes to make there nests. They are a bit of a pain if you can't be bothered to go and get a pair of gloves when they grow in the veg plot.
They can also be cooked and eaten as austerity Spinach too.
3:1 in favor of nettles!
