Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

When I first looked at this I decided not to offer an identification as no information on substrate was provided. Was it on bark or rock? - critical information for Lecanora, which is a difficult enough genus as it is.
Since then, Nigel has added the name I would have used, and looking at the photo again it looks like there may be a branch scar - more likely to be on a tree than a rock, so I have added agreement.
But it really is important for posters of photographs to provide what information they can. In close up photography, the 'obvious' may not be at all obvious to others.
