And just like all my own photographs of the beast, the yellow colour just does not show.

It applies to photos in books too, they are almost always too grey. Dobson ed 5 shows it grey too. 'New Dobson' has the same photo now with yellow tints, but I think that's Photoshop!

That explains a lot. I didn't know what it was when I first saw it, and the colour in the photo made it a struggle to ID.
