We´ve been picking and eating these mushrooms so we know they´re safe to eat but I´d like to know they´re proper name. Here in Argentina they´re name translates into English as "mushroom from under the Coco tree", which is where they appear to grow. Ps. They´re much tastier dried and then cooked rather than cooked fresh.

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

    Likely ID
    Bolete (Boletus species)
    Confidence: It might be this.

Yes it would be useful to

Yes it would be useful to know about any colour changes as species such as Boletus pulverulentus which can look a bit like yours have a dramatic colour change when cut.
