This Elder was found close to the River Stour At Wrabness. The mass of growth was extremely dense and was the actual elder plant not a parasite, as leaf burst was noted

Witches Broom

Thanks for ident. What threw me was the elder leaves bursting on the tips of the twiglets.I dont recall seeing it on elder before

Unusual

It is unusual to see it on elder.
The one i found was easy to get on camera as it was at chest level. I put it on as i had never seen it on Elder until i spotted it right at the end of the street i live in. I put on one i found on Larch too as it was another host tree i had never seen it on before.
