Description:

I saw this rather large bumble bee on my kitchen floor this morning. She (I assume she) was about 3/4 inch long, and had a white tuft at the rear. She was a bit angry, and kept raising a leg when I went near her. I put her out on the window ledge, and gave her some syrup and she seemed a bit weak (I hope that was the right thing to do...). She's gone now. Am wondering what it was, as obviously it's not the 'traditional' black & yellow bumble bee.
