the antennae look right, and

the antennae look right, and the head. Are you able to rule out the Cornish souletina just because of location?
By the way in my guide it's got Stigmatogaster instead of Haplophilus, and says they're both Shaw, 1789??

Thanks for the replies. I have updated my ID book to Stigmatogaster and have noted Cornish (Stigmatogaster) souletina as a possibility
