Found under a stone in my neices garden in Beaumont-cum-moze is it a common newt?
No interactions present.
Looking at the orange mark behind the head I would say it is a juvenile common newt. If you add a revised identification for common newt and press the 'get recommended' button it will add the scientific name Lissotriton vulgaris and link up to other observations.
P.S. Common newt and smooth newt are different names for the same animal.
Thanks for the help Masked Marvel.
