I saw numerous of these today, mostly on the wing and never seeming to settle but this one perched for just long enough to get a quick shot.

in my experience, rest far less frequently than those later in the season. Maybe, at this time of the year reproduction is more important to them than feeding

Hi Gary, I agree. At this time of year it can be very frustrating watching them fluttering about and rarely landing.
