Leucism

This Oystercatcher seems to be leucistic; a condition which affects the
pigmentation of the feathers, making the bird appear paler to a greater
or lesser degree.

Leucistic

Thanks. This bird has been, in the area for some time, there is also a leucistic Redshank near Dumfries which seems to find it hard mixing with other Redshank, were this as no problem being excepted.
