Thanks Alan for ID and the details which make this a pardosa. My trusty dictionary gave me the meanings of cephalothorax (though I'd half guessed it) and 'annulations'
It really is helpful to have this sort of info.
From the size, is this a female?
Based on its size, which suggests it's fairly well grown, and the palps, which should be swollen if it was an adult or sub adult male, I'd say it was a female.
