I don't think Cherry Plum has such a density of flowers as this. Any thorns may be hidden.

Not much frost

Following a spring with little frost Cherry plum can have so much fruit that it can bring branches down later in the season. It is one of those years.

Cherry Plum

The first and earliest of the Prunus genus is P. cerasifera.
