Meadow brown

The lack of markings on the inderwing indicates meadow brown or gatekeeper. However, gatekeepers do have some markings, though they can be very faint in older individuals, on the underside of the lower wing. The giveaway is the number of white spots within the black spot in the upper wing - meadow browns have one spot and gatekeepers have two white spots.
