Can someone tell me if crassostrea gigas and crassostrea angulata are now considered to be the same?

Asked this question against one of my observations (gramandy - portuguese oyster) but have had no reply or confirmation of ID (would be good if someone could verify for me). I am not sure about the nomenclature of the american/portuguese oyster. Are they considered one and the same now or are they definitely different?

The current NBN/R6 dictionary

The current NBN/R6 dictionary gives the current preferred name as Crassostrea gigas (Thunberg, 1793), with C. angulata as a synonym and 'Portuguese Oyster' as the preferred English name.
