Skylark
Description:

Have to admit that this little guy had us fooled for a short time, as Skylarks usually don't let you too close. This did however, crouch low to the ground to hide once we had spotted him (typical Skylark behaviour). The crest IS missing, but they usually are in Skylarks during spring (allbeit early spring!)

Skylark

iSpot works best if you leave the family name off the end. Just put Alauda arvensis in brackets, then your sighting will be added to others of Skylark. Try and edit it, perhaps.

family name

Thank you ophrys, didn't know that until I added it to this observation AND the Brent geese flock. I've since added an ID revision to both which doesn't include the family name, HOPEFULLY that will iSpot to 'do it's thing'.

Thanks very much for pointing that out to me, I learnt something new today!

Kind regards,

Keith.
