Small Bird

Observed: 3rd March 2012 By: David Goad
Description:

A small finch sized bird. It had a jet black cap a white bib and a very red breast. The markings are all very clearly defined. a very distinctive bird but I didn't get a good look at the beak.
I don't think I've seen one before and can't name it

Have you tried using the RSPB

Have you tried using the RSPB Bird Identifier? http://www.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/birdidentifier/form.aspx

I put in your description, but couldn't find anything that obviously fit, though you may have better luck.
