Description:

Three snipe. What more can one say? I've seen two together before, but not three. There was no aggression, so it's not one male trying to oust another, as far as I can tell. I watched them for half an hour or more. They were still there when I left.

Cool! Simon. I have have never seen more than one Snipe together. (that doesn't sound grammatically correct!)

I think you're right!

I don't think only one snipe can be together on its own! I've seen two before, but never three. Unfortunately the hide I took the picture from faces into the sun (well, most of it does), so you tend to see the shadowed side. Grrr!

I know what you mean Simon, the bit of riverside I am using at the moment for camera practice (it is just across the road from home) faces (more or less) due south, which means that almost every picture I take i.e. of birds on the river, is a constant challenge. Still, we must persevere!
