Description:

White, crustose lichen with a black prothallus. Black,lecanorine apothecia. Found on sandstone gravestones.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Doubtful

From the very lumpy, untidy appearance I think this is more likely to be Lecanora gangaleoides, which resembles T. atra very closely and often grows with it.
