I posted one of these when I joined ispot first and this is my first sighting since.Feeding on Berberis darwinii in my garden.

Hi John,

Have you met many of these moths in either adult or larva form?

I was wondering if you have Northern Eggars there as well as Oak Eggars or just the latter. As far as I know only the Northern Eggar is to be found here where I am???????

But that isnt completely concrete. I wouldnt want to put money on it...

Hi Cathal,I"ve found larva several times and seen adult once but no photo of it, I don"t know about its distribution and mothsireland lumps them in together I think.
