Notice how the pups in these pictures have a slightly distinctive muzzle like common seals rather than the 'Roman' nose of the adults. They keep this for the first year or so and only fully develop the adult flat muzzle shape at around two-three years old. This one is very fat and velvety looking, it is around 20 day old and ready to go into the water for the first time.
