Description:

Very bright lemon yellow outgrowth from the stem of an old gorse tree. About 10cm in length and about 6cm depth (from tree to edge of growth) about 5 cm wide. Soft, floppy appearance (waving slightly in breeze) and looked wet to the touch (although no rain/dew present). Similar but very much smaller growths nearby on same tree but nothing similar on other trees nearby.

I am confident now it is a Yellow Brain fungus.
This seems to like gorse trees such as here
