I think they are Ephemera danica but the top one with partially obscured abdomen could be E. vulgata as there are triangular markings on all segments of the abdomen ( as far as I can see)

I can seen what Alan means but Ephemera vulgata is not on the Irish List - verified records of Irish mayflies are on the NBDC site. But just looked at it again more carefully and the top insect is upside down which explains the different markings
Well spotted Limnoporus, I wouldnt have noticed that, but I think you are bang on. I might add a crop just for interests sake.
Also thanks for informing me that E. vulgata isnt on the Irish list, should make IDing a bit less confusing in future. I wonder just how rare the other 2 scarcer species are, which I read about earlier, but have forgotten the names of?
