This plant still survives on the Undercliff of the Isle of Wight, in fact in my home village where it is protected in a tiny area maintained by the a Hampshire and IOW Wildlife Trust and the IOW Natural History Society who monitor the plant. There is a very large entry about this plant in the Isle of Wight Flora, and last year it was discovered that there was a further stand of it established in someone'e garden on the Undercliff, who had no idea it was so rare, in fact he regarded it as a weed to be controlled!
