Having looked at Ians close up on the blotch (Mistle) and Arrow (Song thrush ) this was very helpful - great Shot BTW

Arrows

Forget the stance...look at those arrowhead spots! Mistle Thrush has bigger, rounded spots, and lacks that warm yellowy-buff background colour.

Natures Great learning Curve

Happens to us all Martin - I have just redesigned a Willow Warbler who no doubt is now Chiff-Chaffed !! The fun is in the detective work :-)
