Description:

A shot from the archives and I still can't work out what this is. The closest I can get from Chinery is a buprestid beetle although the colouring is very different.

Yes indeed, the campsite has lots of poplars!

I agree with Dicerca and aenea looks like a good shout to me ,but I can't be 100% sure.

Does not fit with other species of Dicerca in the area

Both D. alni and D. berolinensis are slender, with smooth, shiny zones on pronotum.
But indeed it is only a photo, so never 100% error-proof.
