Description:

Three moths have come to the outside light so far this evening and I am wondering if they are all the same species or have I got a Small Brindled Beauty - dark form and two Pale Brindled Beautys.

Hi Petej, I'm agreeing that images 1-3 are Pale Brindles but 4-6 look like Early Moths to me.

Two species here

I agree two species are represented - Pale Brindled Beauty and Early moth.

Two species

Thanks both

I agree with you that it is an Early Moth. I should have looked more closely - there is just a suggestion of a cross line towards the base on photo 5 which I missed last night.
