Description:

A massive flock of common starlings comming into roost at Shapwick Heath NNR ( their preferred roost at present)They gave a wonderful performance and the setting sun made it a magical sight.

Starlings

Not that I have any reason to doubt you but from the pictures here it is not really possible to be sure that it is not some massive flock of another bird species.

Did you mean to only identify to genus level or did you mean to ID these as Sturnus vulgaris

Sturnus vulgaris

I was surprised that Sturnus vulgaris was not the "recommended" choice. Assumed that was due to using Starlings plural.! But yes they were defintely common starlings.
