Very emaciated looking Gallotia lizards in desert area near coast.
No interactions present.
They certainly don't look healthy...
The tenerife geckos that were also in this area looked fine but the lizards were like this, there was rather little vegetation in this desert area. My impression from whole island was that it was rather less green than previous visits at this time of year e.g. few or no leaves on the Euphorbias whereas previously had been covered in leaves and flowers. Don't know if they had been suffering drought or very cold weather or some other climatic issue.
