Scottish primrose is a much smaller, much rarer plant normally found on well-drained, usually heavily grazed, coastal grasslands. It also has pink not yellow flowers

Thank's Mark. That's the second silly mistake I've made in the space of twenty minutes! You are right, of course, and I knew this was 'vulgaris' - i don't know what I was thinking of. I think I got confused when the options came up.
