This feather like fungus was growing out of a six inch long dead branch on the ground. Circa 25~40mm high it was very delicate.
Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!
Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Obviously I should have been patient - they are there now!
The images are up now. It just needed agreement on the correct name. The common name never got the latin name for some reason perhaps because it is not an organism.
Wierd and wonderful indeed... it's hard enough to identify "real" fungi but when common stuff like water starts to imitate them it gets even harder!
