University of Edinburgh and Biodiversity Observatory (OU)
Thanks Jonathan, I wasn't sure how to do it
Habitat: Is this Moist Savanna? Please change to Nama Karoo if it is.
I believe that Moist Savanna is correct, accepting that the spider was found in the Oribi Gorge. The map must be wrong, though, showing a Karoo locality, where these spiders do not occur.

You're right, there's no 'Oribi gorge Nature Reserve' anywhere near Carnarvon!!

a randomly placed spot in the middle of South Africa???
Is this perhaps a Forest species? Or why?
Forests are OK, but perhaps Savanna is too sparsely treed for the webs. Certainly Grassland would be (and is not in the area).
Could be Gardens though ...
seeing this in forest, but then checked I have seen this in on the bank of the nearby Umtamvuna river. Between trees and rock. Regretted not having picked a macro lens. Thus Savanna or forest is possible.
Map still wrong: please decide if the locality is Carnarvon or Oribi Gorge. Please fix accordingly!!!
