There were several Green shield bug nymphs in the area but I think this is Nezara viridula rather than a Green Shield Bug.

Thanks for the confirmation. We'd seen a Southern GSB nymph in Provence a couple of years ago but this was the first adult I've seen. In fact, it's the only other Southern GSB I've seen and I keep looking.
