I'm always pleased to see this smail, which seems to be declining at the moment. I still find the occasional empty shell in the Chilterns but not live snails - the shells can last a long time after the snail has died. Will be even more impressed if you can find a live one to photograph!
I think they are doing better further towards the south-west.
