Watching some rooks, when they started getting agitated, took a picture of them, then swung around to find what had troubled them. A buzzard.
I tried to operate the zoom and took a picture but it turned out to be empty sky. When I tried another, it merged into the branches of a row of trees in the background.
There are a lot more buzzards round here than there used to be 10 years ago.
Has anyone noticed this increase where they are?

Populations of buzzard have expanded in recent years, and spread from having quite a northern and western distribution to be more frequent in southern and eastern parts.

Not really possible to agree with your ID from the description you have provided (you don't really describe the bird or how you identified it as a buzzard).
