Lichen id is often helped by having a note of the substrate. For rock habitats whether it is calcareous or siliceous, and for trees, the species of tree if possible.
thanks for that suggestion. The substrate is basalt.
When my back is better I will be able to get down close for a much clearer photo which will help!.
