Description:

A "clump" of several roughly spherical balls of fungus very white in colour and with a damp sheen apparently sitting on a quite damp, dead, limb of Silver Birch - the topmost slightly yellowing and taking the shape of a pie crust about 7cm in diameter.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Sadly not. This and several of the others I have posted were taken last September when I had even less idea than I do now. Now I endeavour to do so, but too late for the September batch.
