Description:

frogspawn, two lots. One lot, v jelly-like, beginning to submerge and eggs becoming opaque, with black dot in centre. One lot, just submerged, opaque with black dot in centre. In a spring-fed pond where frogs spawn every year. There are also newts and toads locally. I think it's frog spawn.

Climate or weather?

I note from your location that your breeding ponds are in the beautiful South. Whereas frogspawn is starting to appear here now in the breeding ponds of the North-West in the last week. That is a difference of 5-6 weeks; or are there other factors involved? Regards
