The spelling of the scientific name of Stonechat was 'corrected' to Saxicola torquatus some time ago, and the species has now been split into three different species:
African Stonechat, which retains the name S. torquatus
European Stonechat, S. rubicola
and Siberian Stonechat, S. maura
(all three are polytypic, containing at least two subspecies).
