On a blow up I don't think it is a gull, possible a Muscovey type duck but I'm unsure.

yeah that's what i though especially with the small beak..
just the red patch around the eye doesnt seem to be substantial enough for a muscovey duck..
The ammount of red can be quite variable. The duck looks a bit fluffed up in the face also so this could be masking the red somewhat. Muscovy Duck is quite a variable duck (just look at the photos below) because it has been domesticated and us humans aren't content with keeping a species looking like it's wild counterpart.
