Approx 2cm in length. Hairy body. Black head, thick orange band above wings, black body with white on bottom.
No interactions present.
It looks a little bit more like it has a formal band behind the head and mine is more of a "horse shoe" shape and also they were doing a survey in the summer. There is a web link to the survey in one of the comments on my observation.
I have agreed with the SP ID on the grounds that the gold band is the wrong shape for the first ID. It looks like it only has one band to me though. The image is not that clear and i am only able to run to saying that it isn't the species i observed.
