Description:

3 vertebrae found. To big to be a Rabbit, possibly a Fox or Badger? Any ideas??

D'em bones!

Three lumber vertebrae only, definitely a challenge. I'll compare your photo with my collection and if needs be a friend's collection. It could take a couple of days. Excellent photos they should show me enough to identify.

To help narrow it down, are there sheep on the down or other domestic animals, dogs, cats etc.

Sheep

Sorry, the couple of days has turned into 18 months!

This is most likely a small sheep, possibly a lamb or do you have Soay sheep?

From three vertebrae I can not be absolutely sure but can say it is not badger or fox and I can not think of anything else this size.
