Fly agaric

I believe this maybe the Brown Fly Agaric (Amanita regalis). It is quite common in Scandanavia,Germany & France. Apart from its cap colour it is similar in size and form to the more common red Fly Agaric - However not sure this has been reported in Britain.

Reported but never with

Reported but never with voucher material so still regarded as not authentically British. Described as similar to A muscaria but with a liver coloured cap so I think this is far more likely to be just an early muscaria.
