predated snail
Description:

An empty shell with signs of predation (by a rodent, since the shell is opened rather than smashed?). I am interested to identify the species and its predator, if possible. Found under leaf litter.

Snail identification

We would need three views to make this more certain: from above (as you show), from the side and from below. The shells you are presenting are both juvenile and bleached by weathering. This is not a major problem as sub-fossil material is like this or worse. Please see http://www.ispot.org.uk/node/241677

Rodent

I would agree that this is showing signs of rodent predation.
